Magic Carpet

Magic Carpet is my shop at number 86 in the Main Market at Janpath. If you know Delhi, you know Janpath is always crowded with tourists and locals looking for something. My shop is not very large, but I have managed to cram a lot of carpets into it over the years. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at the same time. I spend my day sitting near the front, watching the people go by and waiting for someone to stop in. The address is easy to find once you are in the market. I have been here a long time, so I have seen the market change around me. Some shops come and go, but Shop No. 86 stays right here. I don't have a website or any of those things. I just talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes we drink chai and look at the different patterns. It is not a high-pressure place. I just show what I have and if they like it, they take it. The walls are covered from top to bottom. It gets a bit hot in the summer because the shop is small, but the fan keeps things moving. It is just me and my carpets in the heart of Janpath. It is a simple life and I like the noise of the market outside my door.
