The shop sits on the ground floor at 2629 Bank Street in Central Delhi. Bank Street is famous for jewelry, so we are right in the thick of it. It’s an old building, like many in this part of town, but it has a lot of character. We spend our mornings setting things up and getting the displays ready. We know the people who work in the nearby shops and we often share a quick meal or some news. It’s a tight community here. Most of our day involves weighing pieces and talking to people who come in looking for something specific. We don't use scripted speeches or anything. If someone asks a question, we just tell them what we know. The office is usually a bit messy with papers, but we know where everything is. It’s a real place with real people working hard every day to keep the business going in a competitive market. It gets very busy on Saturdays, but we manage to keep things moving along fine.
