We are located at No. 1728 Dariba Kalan, which is right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes are. Our shop is an old one, and it feels like it. The walls have been painted many times and the floor is worn down from people walking on it for years. We do jewellery here, mostly the traditional kind that people in this area like. We don't have a website that we update or anything like that. We just open the shop every morning and wait to see who comes in. Sometimes it’s very quiet and we just sit and talk about the news or drink tea. Other times, it’s so busy you can hardly move. Chandni Chowk has a very specific energy. There’s always the smell of food from the stalls nearby and the sound of people bargaining. Inside our shop, we have these old glass cases where we keep the silver and gold. We spend a lot of time cleaning them because the dust from the street gets in everywhere. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. We know our customers by name usually, or at least we know their families. Being at No. 1728 is part of who we are. It’s a small space, but it’s enough for what we need.
