We are located in Karol Bagh, near Rajendra Nagar, operating as Bhagwati Diamond Pvt. Ltd. Being in a neighborhood like Karol Bagh means there is never a quiet moment outside. The streets are constantly packed with shoppers and traffic. Our office is a little more tucked away than the shops right on the main road, which is nice because it blocks out some of the noise. We deal with diamonds and various stones throughout the day. The lighting has to be exactly right for our work, so we have these bright lamps at every single desk. Most of the people working here have been part of the team for years, so we all know each other’s families and habits. It is a professional environment, but we are not formal about it. You will often see lunch boxes on the tables and people chatting while they work. We handle a lot of shipments, so there are always courier guys coming in and out with small parcels. It involves a lot of sitting and looking through magnifying loupes at very small details. My eyes get tired by the time evening rolls around, but that is just part of the job. We do not have a big showroom. It is mostly just desks, heavy safes, and a few chairs for guests. We enjoy being in this part of Delhi because it feels alive.
