If you’ve ever been to Kucha Mahajani, you know how narrow the lanes are and how crowded it gets with everyone looking for jewelry. It’s the heart of the trade here in Delhi. We get to the office early to beat the worst of the crowds, but even then, the area is already waking up. Our space is filled with the sound of calculators and people talking over each other. Since we handle exports, there is always a box being packed or a shipping form being filled out. It’s a lot of paperwork, to be honest. We have to be careful with the details because things are going far away. The walls are a bit old and the ceiling isn't very high, but it’s been our home base for a long time.
