Our place is Flat No. 206 in Kiran Mansion. It is at 4834/24 Ansari Road. Darya Ganj is a very crowded area, especially with all the book shops and old offices nearby. We have been in this building for quite a bit. It is an old mansion that was converted into office spaces a long time ago. The hallways are a bit narrow and you can hear the city humming outside all the time. We do international trade and a bit of everything else that comes our way. The office is full of files and old ledgers that we still use. We don't have a big reception area or any place for visitors to wait. You just walk in and we are right there at our desks working. It is a small team. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on transport schedules on the computer. The traffic around here is something else, so we try to get in early before the roads get too blocked up. Lunch is usually something quick from one of the food stalls downstairs. It is not a glamorous job by any means, but it keeps us very busy. We know most of the other tenants in Kiran Mansion. We help each other out with small things like mail or when the water is out in the building. It is just how things are in this part of Delhi. We just focus on getting our work done.
