Our office is up on the seventh floor of the Surya Kiran building, specifically suites 706 and 707. Being at 19 K. G. Marg puts us right in the middle of a lot of city activity, though it feels a bit quieter once you get inside the elevator and head up. We deal with industrial controls and switches mostly, so there are always catalogs and technical drawings scattered across the desks. The atmosphere is more about clerical work and coordinating with the factories than physical labor. We spend quite a bit of time on the phones and responding to emails about pressure controls or thermostats. The building itself has that older feel to it, with wide hallways and a lot of history. On a typical afternoon, the sun hits the windows in a way that makes the office quite bright, and you can see the traffic down on K. G. Marg moving slowly. We aren’t the type to use big words for what we do. It’s just about making sure the orders are correct and the technical specs match what the customers are asking for. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we have a rhythm that doesn’t need much explaining. We handle the paperwork, track the shipments, and make sure the accounts stay up to date. It’s steady, predictable work in a very central part of the city. We often have tea together around four before finishing up the day's logs and heading home.
