H.M.T. Watches Limited

We are based in the Jeevan Tara Building on Parliament Street, right at number 5. This is a very famous part of New Delhi, close to all the big government offices. H.M.T. Watches Limited has a long history, but our day-to-day life here is pretty ordinary. The office has high ceilings and large windows, but it’s filled with old wooden desks and stacks of files that have been there for years. It has that classic government-style building feel to it. We spend most of our time dealing with the administrative side of things. There’s a lot of checking records and keeping track of the watch inventory. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for the sound of people typing or talking on the phone. Because of where we are, the area outside is very well-kept, but it can get very crowded during office hours. We usually see a lot of people in uniforms or business suits walking past. We have a small corner where we keep a kettle for making tea during the day. It’s not a high-tech environment. We still use a lot of paper and physical ledgers to keep things organized. Most of us have been working here for a long time, so we have our set routines. We come in, do the work that is assigned to us, and keep things moving as they always have. It’s a steady, predictable kind of job in a very historic part of the city.
