Hindustan Gum & Chemicals Ltd.

Our office is tucked away on the fourth floor of the Uco Bank Building. If you know Sansad Marg, you know it’s a heavy-duty area with all the government buildings and big banks around. The elevator in this building has a mind of its own, so half the time we just end up taking the stairs to get to work. Hindustan Gum & Chemicals Ltd. has been here for a while. The desks are covered in folders, and there’s always a stack of mail waiting by the door. We deal with a lot of different suppliers and customers, so the phones are usually going off throughout the morning. It gets pretty bright in here during the summer months because of the big windows, which is nice until it gets too hot. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to hand out brochures. It’s just us sitting in our chairs, typing away or talking to someone on the line about a shipment. The carpets are a bit worn out in the corners, but it doesn't really matter for the work we do. We like being in this part of town because everything is close by, even if the parking is a total nightmare for anyone visiting. We just come in, do what needs to be done with the gum and chemical orders, and head home when the sun goes down.
