We have our place on Factory Road in Nabi Karim. The addresses are No. 5978 and 5746. It’s a very busy part of town, especially since Nabi Karim is known for all the leather and bag work that goes on. We’ve been making and selling bags here for quite some time. The street is always full of people moving rolls of fabric, zippers, and finished goods. Our workshop is usually a bit messy because there are always scraps of material on the floor and sewing machines running. It’s noisy and there is a lot of dust, but that’s just what a real factory looks like. We don’t have a showroom with glass cases and spotlights. We just have shelves stacked high with different kinds of bags we’ve made. Gopal and the rest of the crew spend most of the day cutting patterns or checking the stitching. It’s hard work and your hands get tired by the end of it. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing people. Most of our customers are people who have been buying from us for years or folks who find us while walking down Factory Road. We just try to make things that won't fall apart after a week. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We keep our doors open and just get on with the sewing and the sales. We usually stay until late evening to finish up the batches.
