Excel Collections

Excel Collections is tucked away in Durga Chambers, room number 1334/217. We are on Desh Bandhu Gupta Road in Karol Bagh. If you’ve been to Karol Bagh, you know how hectic it gets. The traffic is constant and the sidewalks are always packed with people. Our office is in one of those older buildings where the stairs are a bit narrow and the walls have a lot of wires running across them. We deal with various collections of goods, mostly clothes and textiles. The room is usually overflowing with bags and plastic packets. We spend most of our time counting stock and checking lists. It’s not very glamorous. The overhead lights are those old tube lights that flicker sometimes. We have a small desk for the computer and the rest of the space is just for storage. During the summers, Karol Bagh gets incredibly hot, so we have a couple of noisy fans that don’t do much except move the warm air around. We know most of the other shopkeepers in Durga Chambers. We often grab chai from the guy downstairs when he does his rounds. It’s a very practical way of working. We don't have a big sign outside, you just have to know which floor to go to. It’s just a regular business day for us, sorting through items and getting them ready to go out to the customers. We just keep at it and handle things one bundle at a time.
