Digiman Crafts India

Our setup at E-57 in Jhandewalan is where all the work for Digiman Crafts India happens. It’s an interesting area to be in, with the market nearby and all the different businesses around us. Our space is usually filled with samples and half-finished projects. It isn't the neatest place in the world because when you’re working with crafts and materials, things tend to get spread out. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting at the big table in the middle of the room trying to figure out new designs. Jhandewalan can be quite a hectic place with the traffic and the crowds, but once you’re inside our unit, it’s a bit more focused. We’ve got shelves reaching up to the ceiling packed with different things we’ve made over the years. It’s mostly just a few of us here, and we handle everything from the initial ideas to packing up the boxes for delivery. We don’t have any corporate protocols or fancy uniforms. We just wear whatever is comfortable and get to work. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea and planning, while other days we are rushing to get everything out the door. It’s a bit of a juggle, but we’ve been doing this long enough that we have a rhythm. We just like making things and having a place in Jhandewalan to call our own. We just keep the crafting going and hope for the best.
