Started at E-57 in the Flatted Factory Complex, our spot is right in the middle of Jhandewallan. The stairs here are usually crowded with people carrying boxes up and down all day. Inside our unit, it is mostly worktables and tools everywhere you look. We spend the whole day doing craft work. It is not exactly a quiet place because there are so many other workshops in the same building. You can hear machines humming and people shouting to be heard over the noise from the next door over. We have been in this area for a good while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are always too busy to deal with that kind of stuff. Our tea guy comes by every few hours, and that is usually when we take a short break to catch our breath. Usually, there are scraps of material on the floor by the afternoon. We try to clean up before leaving, but by the next morning, it is back to the same mess. It is just a practical way to work. We do not have a fancy reception or a big sign outside. People just find us by the unit number on the door. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know the local food stalls and where to get the best snacks. It is just a regular day-to-day operation where we get the orders finished. The traffic outside is always a mess.
