We are located at the Kanchanjunga Building on Barakhamba Road, right in the heart of the city. Being on the Under Ground Floor (UGF) means we don’t have to wait for the elevators most days, which is a small win given how busy this place gets. The building itself is quite old and has that classic Delhi feel to it. You can see the traffic crawling along Barakhamba Road from the main entrance, and the metro station is just a short walk away. Inside our space, it’s mostly desks and stacks of files. It isn’t anything fancy. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and the walls probably have some stories to tell if they could talk. The lighting is okay, though some bulbs flicker now and then until someone gets around to fixing them. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the tea stall around the corner better than our own kitchens. People come and go throughout the day, mostly for meetings or to drop off paperwork. It’s a busy spot but we’ve grown used to the hum of the air conditioners and the muffled sound of the horns outside. Dealing with consultations means a lot of talking on phones and typing away. Sometimes the internet acts up, but that’s just how it is. It’s just a normal workplace where things get done, nothing more, nothing less. We keep to our schedule and try to get home before the evening rush starts.
