Brij Bhushan Lal Krishna Kumar

Our place is on Ramjas Road in Karol Bagh, specifically at number 60/44. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how crowded and lively it gets. We have been operating under the name Brij Bhushan Lal Krishna Kumar for quite some time. It’s a long name, but it’s family-owned and that is just how it has always been. The building is old, with those narrow stairs that everyone has to be careful on. We don’t have any of those modern glass partitions or fancy coffee machines you see in the new offices downtown. We just have old wooden desks and big registers that we still use alongside the computer. Karol Bagh is always moving, so there is always noise from the street vendors and the traffic outside our door. It can get pretty hot in the summer months, so the ceiling fans are always going full blast. We mostly deal with people who have known our family for years. They just drop by to talk or check on things. We don't really put up big neon signs or do much advertising at all. People find us because they know the neighborhood. It’s a very basic setup. Sometimes we run out of space for all the stock, so things get a bit cluttered in the corners, but we manage. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep things going in a very busy, old neighborhood. We like it that way.
