Sofian School

Sofian School is located on Madarsa Road, right in Ward Number 18 of Khajuwala. Being out here in the Bikaner district means we deal with a lot of sand and heat, but that’s just life in this part of Rajasthan. The school is a simple building on a relatively quiet road. We don't have any big signs or neon lights, just the name on the front. People in Khajuwala know us because we’ve been here for the local families for a while. The classrooms are basic, with wooden desks and chalkboards, and we try to keep them as cool as possible during the hot afternoons. You can often see the local residents walking past on Madarsa Road, and there’s a sense of peace in this part of Ward 18. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just us, the teachers and the support staff, coming in every morning to do our jobs. The kids come from all over the local area, some from quite far away if they can get a ride. We spend our time making sure the registers are marked and the lessons are finished. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s important to the people who live out here near the border. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the school running well, even when the desert winds make things a bit difficult for everyone.
