M. L. Memorial Institute

M. L. Memorial Institute is right there in the Kutchery area. Being near the courts means there is always a lot of movement and people around. You can hear the lawyers and the traffic outside most of the day. Our building is a bit older, with high ceilings and heavy doors. We have several rooms where we keep the benches and desks for the students. It is a very practical setup. We do not have any of those modern glass walls or anything like that. It is just brick and mortar. The hallways are long and sometimes echo when it is quiet. We spend most of our time organizing schedules and making sure the classrooms are ready. There is a small area where we keep the records and the main register. The ink on the stamps always seems to get on someone's hands. During exam times, the whole place feels different, much more serious. We have seen many groups come and go through these doors. Some stay for a short while and others are here for longer. The Kutchery area can be quite a maze if you are not used to it, but everyone knows where the main landmarks are. We just do our part in the middle of it all. Coffee and tea are staples here, especially in the mornings when we first open up the shutters. It is a busy life, but it is what we do at the institute day in and day out.
