Over here in the Rani Bazar industrial area, things are always a bit loud. Being at number 71, we are right in the thick of it. The machines have a specific hum that you eventually stop hearing after a few years. We deal with a lot of wool, so the air usually has that faint, earthy smell to it. It’s an industrial space, plain and simple. We have big windows, but they’re mostly covered in a bit of grit from the surrounding factories. The floor is concrete and built to take a beating from the heavy sacks we move around. We don't have any fancy receptionists or plush chairs. If someone drops by, they usually just grab a plastic stool near the main desk. It gets incredibly hot during the summer months, and the ceiling fans do their best, but it’s mostly just hard work and sweating it out. We’ve got a rhythm to the day—checking the wool, watching the processing, and making sure the trucks can get in and out of the gate without hitting the neighbor's wall. It’s a practical life. Most of the guys have been working here for years, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We just show up, do the shift, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s not the quietest spot in Bikaner, but it’s where we belong.
