G. S. Futures Commodity

We have been at the G S Provision Store for quite a long time now. Being right near the railway crossing on Station Road means there is always something going on outside. You hear the trains coming through at all hours, which just becomes part of the background noise after a few days. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We handle commodities here, mostly dealing with the futures side of things. It’s a busy spot because everyone uses Station Road to get across town. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we’re always wiping down the counters. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical place where we get the work done. Most of the people around here know us by name. We see the same faces heading to the station every morning. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of paperwork piled up on the desk, but we manage somehow. The fan hums in the corner and we keep the ledger books organized as best as we can. There isn't much to say about the decor because it's just a working space. We spend most of our time looking at the market numbers and talking to folks who stop by. Sometimes the crossing gate stays down too long and traffic backs up right in front of our door. That's just how life is on this side of town. The paint on the walls is a bit faded. We've got the usual shelves and a few plastic chairs for when someone needs to sit and talk business for a bit. It’s noisy, but it’s our home.
