N. D. Commodities

Being near the station in Lalgarh means it’s never really quiet. You can always hear the trains coming in and going out. N. D. Commodities is right on Station Road. It’s a good spot if you like being where the action is. We handle a lot of different goods. Bags of things are piled high. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside and we have to sweep it out every hour. It’s a simple setup we have here. Just a few rooms and a big area for loading. The workers are good guys. They’ve been with us through the heat and the rain. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. If someone needs us, they usually just walk in or call the landline. The phone rings a lot. Most of the time it’s people asking about prices or when their delivery will arrive. We try to be quick but sometimes the trucks get delayed at the crossing. It’s just part of the business. We don't use big words here. We just talk about weights and numbers. At the end of the day, we lock up and head home. The lights from the station stay on all night. It’s a busy life but it’s what we know. We’ve been at this for years. It’s not always easy but we get by fine. It is a decent living for us. We just keep our heads down and get on with it.
