If you head out to Pub Khamarpara Bagargaon in Bijni, you’ll find us. We are based at Sarbadev Barman’s house, specifically at H No. C-470. It’s a local operation through and through. We are just a group of farmers who decided to call ourselves a producer company so we could help each other out. There isn't anything flashy about our setup. We meet in the porch or the yard and talk about what’s happening in the fields. Bijni is a place where most people know their neighbors, so we work with people we’ve known our whole lives. When the harvest comes, things get pretty hectic around here. We have to coordinate who is bringing what and where it’s all going to go. Sometimes we run into problems with transport or the prices at the market drop suddenly, but that’s just part of the job. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us, the people who actually grow the food. We use simple tools and traditional ways mostly, though we try to learn new things when we can. Our company is really just a way for us to stand together. It feels more like a big family than a business most of the time. We are just trying to keep the farms in Bagargaon going strong for the next year. It's a lot of sweat and patience but we don't mind.
