Rajarani Mandap

Rajarani Mandap is situated right on Tankapani Road, literally just across from the Rajarani Temple. It is an old building and we spend a lot of time trying to keep the place looking halfway decent for the events. Being in front of such a famous temple means there is always a crowd outside, which can make things a bit chaotic when a wedding party is trying to arrive. We have a big open hall and some basic rooms for the families to use. It is not a luxury hotel, so don't expect anything too polished. The floors are made of stone and they take a lot of scrubbing after a big party. We usually have to deal with a lot of trash and leftover decorations once the guests leave at night. On Tankapani Road, traffic can be quite bad in the evenings, so we tell people to plan their arrivals carefully. The building has its quirks, like doors that stick and lights that sometimes flicker, but it serves its purpose for the local community. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our bookings come from people who live in the neighborhood and have seen weddings happening here for years. It is a noisy place when the drums are playing, but that is part of the atmosphere. We just try to keep the gates open and the lights on when someone needs the space.
