Shashi Kasturi Vision Foundation

We are located in the Millennium Tower, right on the Ahmedabad Palace Road in Kohe Fiza. It’s HIG T 1 if you are looking for the exact spot. Bhopal is a beautiful city, especially around this area near the old palace road. We chose this name because vision is something that matters a lot to us, and not just in the way people usually think. We spend our time looking at how things could be better for the community here. It’s a foundation run by regular people. We have families and lives here in the 462001 area. Sometimes we have meetings in the tower, and other times we are out in the streets seeing what needs doing. It’s not a fancy corporate setup despite the tower name. It’s actually quite a bit of a scramble sometimes to get everything organized. We don't have some big master plan written on a whiteboard. We just take things as they come. One day it might be helping a neighbor, another day it’s looking at a bigger problem in the ward. We’ve lived in Bhopal a long time, so we know the people and the problems fairly well. We just wanted to do something that felt right. It’s just a vision we have for how our part of town could look if everyone pitched in a little bit more. The traffic on Palace Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but it's worth it to be so central to everything happening in Bhopal. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
