Diksha Welfare And Cultural Society

The Diksha Welfare And Cultural Society is located at LIG-22 in Harshwardhan Nagar. It’s a standard LIG house that we’ve turned into our main operating space. Harshwardhan Nagar is a residential area, so we are surrounded by houses and families going about their business. You won't find any big glass windows or shiny metal signs here. It just looks like another house on the block, except for the small board we have out front. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of stuff piled up for our different projects. We have a few desks squeezed into the main room and some chairs for visitors. The kitchen area is mostly used for making tea for whoever stops by to talk. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We don't have a dress code or any corporate rules; we just come in and start working on whatever is most urgent that day. The neighborhood kids sometimes play cricket in the street outside, and you can hear them shouting and laughing while we work. It’s a very real, lived-in environment. We’ve been at LIG-22 for a long time, and the walls have some scuffs from moving furniture around over the years. We are just a local group trying to do something useful from a small house in the neighborhood. It’s simple, a bit messy sometimes, but it’s where we do our best work every day.
