Awareness Social Welfare Association

We are located at House Number 20 in Ramanand Colony, over in the Lal Ghati area. It’s a regular residential neighborhood here in M.P., nothing too flashy. The Awareness Social Welfare Association started right here in this house because we saw things in the community that needed a bit of attention. We aren't a big office with a receptionist and all that. Most of the time, you’ll find one of us sitting at the kitchen table or in the front room going over papers. It’s a very local setup. We know all the neighbors and they know us. If someone has a bit of trouble or needs some advice, they just walk up to the door and knock. We like it that way because it keeps things personal. We don't have big corporate goals or anything like that. We just look at what's happening in Lal Ghati and try to see if there's a way we can help out. Sometimes it's helping a kid with school stuff or talking to the city about a broken pipe. It’s just everyday work for us. We’ve lived here for years, so we care about what happens to the streets and the families around us. It's not a fancy job, and it doesn't pay much, but it feels right to do it. We’re just regular people trying to make the colony a little better for everyone who lives here.
