Asha Niketan Welfare Centre Bhopal is right here in Arera Colony. We are based in the Asha Niketan Campus, specifically in the E/6 Private Sector area. It’s a fairly quiet spot, though the city is busy around us. We have been working from this location for quite a while now. The centre is mostly just a bunch of rooms where we handle different welfare activities for the local people. Sometimes folks come in looking for help with paperwork, and other times they just need someone to listen to their problems. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy lobby. We just have some desks and a few chairs for visitors. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend our time on more important things. Dealing with daily issues keeps us pretty occupied. We have some old wooden furniture that's been around as long as the building has. It’s not much to look at, but it gets the job done when we sit down to talk. We try to be helpful when we can. There is no big secret to what we do; we just show up and see who needs assistance that day. Most people in Bhopal know the Arera Colony area, so finding us isn't too hard. We are just a local group doing what we can with the space we have here in this part of the city.
