Sharan Welfare Foundation

We are based in the Jharok Apartment, specifically Flat No. G-2 in the Akash Ganga area of E-8/76 in Bhopal. It is a ground-floor spot, which makes it easy for people to stop by without having to deal with stairs or elevators. We have been using this flat as our main office for the welfare foundation. It feels a bit like a home, which we actually prefer over a standard commercial space. There is a small kitchen where we make tea and a main room where we have our desks set up. We spend a lot of time here talking about how to manage our different programs. It is a pretty relaxed environment. We are not big on formalities or strict hierarchies. Usually, whoever is around just helps out with whatever needs doing, whether it is filing papers or answering the door. Bhopal is a big place, but being in this neighborhood makes it feel a bit smaller and more personal. We have had this space for a while and it has served us well. There is no big sign out front or anything fancy. We just have our work and a place to do it. It is practical and it keeps our costs down so we can put more into what we actually do. Sometimes the street noise gets inside, but we are used to it by now. It is just part of being in this part of town.
