Sandhev Social Welfare Foundation

This is the Sandhev Social Welfare Foundation. We are based out of Mayarampur in Magroni, over here in Madhya Pradesh. It’s a quiet place, not like the big cities. I’m the son of Lalchand, and we’ve been part of this community forever. This foundation started because we wanted to help out our own people. There isn't a big office building or anything. We mostly work from home or meet people outside. It’s very informal. We don't have a website with fancy photos. We just know everyone in the village and they know us. If someone has a problem, they usually just come and find us. We do what we can with what we have. Sometimes it's about helping someone get their documents sorted, other times it's more about local issues in Magroni. We don't have any corporate sponsors. It’s just us and the local folks. The work is steady but not fast. We take our time to make sure things are done right. Being in a rural area like Mayarampur means you have to be practical. You can’t rely on a lot of outside help. So we just do it ourselves. It’s been this way for a while now and we’re happy to keep it going. It’s simple, honest work for our neighbors. We spend many evenings just sitting on the porch talking through problems with whoever stops by.
