Qmark Foundation For Sustainable Livelihood Development

Our office for Qmark Foundation For Sustainable Livelihood Development is at House No. 67 in Tanvi Estates. This is in the Amritpuri part of Awadhpuri, right near the Shyama Palli area in Bhopal. It’s a nice enough spot, situated in a residential estate, so it doesn't feel like a cold business district. We have a modest setup inside the house where we manage all our livelihood projects. There are usually boxes of materials sitting in the hallway and charts pinned to the walls with masking tape. We don’t have a professional cleaning crew or a fancy coffee machine; we just handle things ourselves. The work involves a lot of talking to people about their jobs and how they make a living. We spend a lot of time on our laptops or out in the field, so the office is often a bit messy with half-finished projects. Bhopal’s weather can be unpredictable, so we’ve always got an umbrella by the door. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to help people find better ways to support themselves. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because it keeps us close to the people we are working with. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of stationary, but we just deal with it and move on. It’s a real place with real people doing what they can. Every day brings a different challenge to the table.
