Kailash Joshi Foundation

Kailash Joshi Foundation is over in Rachna Nagar, specifically at HIG-303 in Block-2. If you are in the Huzur area of Bhopal, you might know these blocks. They’ve been here a long time. Our office is just a regular unit that we’ve turned into a workspace. It’s not anything you’d see in a magazine. There are shelves filled with folders and some old calendars on the walls that we forgot to take down months ago. We spend most of our mornings drinking chai and figuring out the schedule for the week. The neighbors are mostly families, so you hear kids playing outside and people going about their business. It’s a very local feel. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door so people know they’re at the right place. Sometimes the doorbell doesn't work right, so people just shout or knock loud. We’re used to it by now. The space is a bit tight when we have all the volunteers in, but we make do by using the balcony for meetings when the weather is nice. We aren't corporate people. We are just folks from Bhopal trying to do some good from our little corner of Rachna Nagar. It’s practical and it suits us just fine. We don’t see any reason to move or change how we do things. We just keep working away at the tasks on our desks.
