Iyana Foundation

You can find Iyana Foundation at B-220 in Shahpurar S Nagar, which is in the Huzur area. It’s a house in a regular residential street. There is a small garden out front that has mostly gone to weeds, but we like the green. The office is basically the front two rooms of the house. We have some old desks we bought second-hand and a few tall cupboards for all our papers. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have more than five people inside. The walls are painted a light yellow that has faded over the years. We usually have a radio playing quietly in the background to break the silence. There is no air conditioning, so we rely on the ceiling fans, which hum quite loudly. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front windows, making it a bit warm. We keep a big water jar in the corner for everyone. It’s a very local way of working. Most of us live within walking distance, so we know the neighborhood well. Sometimes people stop by just to chat or ask for directions. We don't have a formal reception desk; whoever is closest to the door just says hello. It’s a modest place, but it serves us well for what we need to do. We’ve been at this address for several years and don't plan on moving anytime soon.
