Folk Culture India Association

Folk Culture India Association is located at E-8/320 Trilanga. We are right near the Fortune Landmark in Shahpura, which makes it easier for people to find us since the landmark is so well known around here. The area is pretty decent, with a lot of trees and some quiet streets nearby. Our office is a simple setup where we keep a lot of our things related to the association. It’s not a shiny corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a place where you can sit down and actually talk to someone. We spend a lot of time discussing local traditions and things that people don’t seem to notice as much anymore. There’s always someone coming or going, usually carrying a bag of books or some old records. The walls have some posters on them, and the shelves are a bit disorganized, but that’s because we’re always using the stuff. In the rainy season, the damp smell from the trees outside comes right into the room. We usually have a pot of tea going because someone is always thirsty. It’s a bit of a slow-moving place, but we like it that way. We don’t see the point in rushing everything. People in Trilanga are generally friendly, and we’ve made a few friends among the shopkeepers nearby. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood and we’re glad to be part of it.
