Our small group operates out of Flat No C1/404 in Paras Urban Park. It’s in the E-8 Extension part of Bawadia Kalan here in Bhopal. Living and working in a residential complex means it’s pretty calm most of the time. You have to go through the main gate and past the small park area to find our block. The office is basically a converted apartment, so it feels very much like a home. We have a few desks set up in what used to be the living room. There’s always a stack of files near the window because the light is better there. Usually, we are just three or four people sitting around. It’s not a place with a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up to answer it. We drink a lot of tea while we go through our plans and talk about what needs to happen next. The balcony has a few plants that someone forgets to water sometimes. Bhopal gets hot, so the cooler is always running in the corner. We like it here because it’s tucked away from the main road noise. It’s just a practical space for us to manage things without too much fuss. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we take the stairs. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine for us at Btsg Awareness Foundation. It works for what we do here.
