Bhopal Unity Foundation

Our office is House No 1 in Millennium Enclave, right behind the Durga Mandir in Shahajanabad. It is a quiet spot, which is nice because Bhopal can get pretty hectic. We started the Unity Foundation because we felt like people needed more ways to come together. It is not a big corporate operation. We just have a couple of rooms where we meet and plan things. Being behind the temple means we get a lot of foot traffic and people stopping by. We do not have a lot of rules about how things are done. If someone has an idea that helps the community, we listen. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors. Sometimes we organize small events or just help someone out with paperwork. It is basic stuff. The building is a bit old, and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it feels like home. We do not use big words or try to sound like experts. We are just residents of Shahajanabad who want to keep the peace and help each other out. Our desks are cluttered with tea cups and old newspapers. It is a real place with real people. We do not have a big mission statement on the wall. We just try to be useful every day. That is enough for us. It keeps us busy and connected to everyone.
