In the VPO Miran area of Bhiwani, you’ll find us at Mange Ram’s house, number 74. That’s the home of Narora Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are just local people from around here who have been tilling this soil for as long as we can remember. It gets pretty hot in Bhiwani, and the work is never really done. We formed this company because we wanted to have a bit more say in how our produce is sold. Usually, it’s just us talking over a glass of water about the rains or the price of diesel. We don’t use big words or have fancy business plans. We just know that if we buy our seeds together, we might save a few rupees. And if we sell our crops together, maybe we won't get cheated at the market. It’s a practical way to survive. The house is where we keep the ledger and meet up when there’s something important to discuss. We’re not looking to be some massive corporation. We just want the farmers in Miran to be able to keep their heads up. It’s hard work, but it’s our life. We’ve all seen the village change over the years, and we just want to make sure the farming community stays strong through it all. It’s a group effort and everyone puts in what they can.
