You can find us at House Number 135 in the village of Dhani Miran. We’re right here in Bhiwani, which is home for all of us. This whole idea for Jashnathi started because we were tired of being at the mercy of middle-men. We’ve got a lot of farmers in this part of Haryana, but sometimes it feels like we’re all working for someone else. By starting this producer company, we took a bit of that control back. It’s run right out of the village. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or air conditioning. Usually, we're just sitting around a wooden table in Dhani Miran figuring out the logistics. The land around here can be tough, and the weather in Bhiwani isn't always kind. We grow what we can and try to make sure everyone gets a fair cut. My brother helps with the transport when we have enough to move. It’s a lot of phone calls and dusty roads. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of and the crops don’t go to waste. Some days are long, starting before the sun is up and ending way after dark. But that’s what farming is.
