Vimal Trading Company

Our spot is on Hayath Khan Street in Tarapet, which is always crowded with people and carts moving back and forth. If you know this part of town, you know it’s never really silent. Vimal Trading Company is tucked right in there among all the other shops. We have been here for years, dealing with all sorts of goods that come in and out every day. The office is small and filled with ledgers and old files, but it works for us. Usually, the morning is spent checking what arrived on the trucks overnight. We have a couple of workers who handle the heavy lifting, and they’ve gotten really fast at it over time. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a delivery van, and there’s a lot of shouting and horn-honking, but that’s just life in Tarapet. We don’t really do anything fancy here. We just buy what’s needed and sell it to the folks who come by. My desk is right by the door, so I see everyone who walks past. It’s a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. We drink a lot of water because it gets stuffy inside with all the boxes stacked up to the ceiling. It’s just a regular trading business, nothing more, nothing less. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Mondays, the floor gets covered in packing tape and scrap paper.
