Down here on Bangalore Road, specifically in the Guggiretti Area, you’ll find us at Vijaykrishna Granite. The yard is usually covered in a fine layer of stone dust, which is just how it goes when you’re dealing with slabs all day. It’s a loud place most of the time because the saws are almost always running. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now. People around Guggiretti know where we are because of the heavy trucks coming in and out. It’s heavy work, moving those big pieces of granite around, and it takes a lot of patience to get things right. We don't have a flashy showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have stacks of stone and a small office where we handle the orders. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains hard on Bangalore Road, but we manage. Most of our guys have been handling stone for years, so they know the difference between a good cut and a bad one without needing a manual. We just focus on the slabs and making sure the dimensions are what people asked for. It’s straightforward work. We drink a lot of tea to stay sharp.
