If you head out to Village Chavaj, you’ll find us at Videocon House. We are part of the Videocon Narmada Glass Division. It’s a large site, and it feels a bit different being away from the main city buzz. Videocon Industries Limited has a lot of history in this area. Here at the glass division, things are always moving. You can hear the hum of the factory from the office rooms. It’s a huge operation, and there are many of us working across different sections. The village setting means it’s a bit quieter once you leave the gates, but inside it’s a whole different story. We have a lot of glass being processed, which means we have to be careful where we walk. The canteen is where most of us catch up during the breaks. It’s not the most modern building, but it has a lot of character. We deal with a lot of logistics because of our location in Chavaj. Shipping out large quantities of glass takes a lot of planning and some long hours. Sometimes the weather makes the commute a bit tricky, but we’re used to it by now. There’s a sense of routine that comes with working in such a big place. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep things running as smoothly as possible. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do here.
