Swastik Vidhya Sankul

We are located out on Sidsar Road in Bhavnagar. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but the area is growing. Swastik Vidhya Sankul isn't just one small building; it’s a whole complex where a lot happens every single day. You can see the school from the road as you come into Sidsar. The dust from the road sometimes settles on the windows, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. We don't have any of that corporate polish you find in the big city schools. We’re just local people running a place for kids to learn. The mornings are the busiest when the buses arrive and the gates open up. You hear the shuffle of shoes and the clatter of tiffin boxes everywhere. We have different sections for different ages, so it’s always a bit of a puzzle to keep everyone where they’re supposed to be. The staff room is usually full of half-finished tea and stacks of notebooks that need marking. We don’t use fancy language to describe what we do. We just open the doors, teach the classes, and make sure everyone goes home safe. It’s hard work and it gets tiring by Friday, but it’s a good kind of tired. People in Bhavnagar know us as a place that’s been around and isn’t going anywhere. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the kids have what they need to get through their lessons.
