Shri Adarsh Msw College

This college is located in Botad, which is over in the Bhavnagar district. We are mostly focused on the MSW course, so the people who come here are looking to get into social work. The building is pretty modest and sits in a quiet part of town. Our office is where most of the coordination happens for the field work that the students have to do. We spend a lot of time talking to local NGOs and government offices to set things up. It’s a very hands-on kind of place, so you won’t find much fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets here. Just some desks, chairs, and plenty of cupboards full of files from previous years. The heat in Bhavnagar can be quite something, so the afternoons are usually slow unless there is an exam going on. We have a small group of staff members who have been together for a long time. The students come from all the surrounding villages and towns near Botad. They usually arrive on their bikes or take the local transport. We try to keep the place organized, but there is always a lot of coming and going because of the nature of social work studies. It’s a practical place for people who want to learn how to help others. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that; we just focus on the daily classes and the fieldwork, making sure the students get their reports done on time.
