Down here in Bhavnagar, at the 364001 pincode area, is where Mahatma Gandhi Vidhya Sankul is located. It is an older part of town, so the streets are a bit narrow and things feel very established. The school itself is a humble place. We don’t have those big glass walls or air-conditioned hallways you see in the movies. We have solid walls, ceiling fans that hum all day, and windows that we open to let the breeze in. Working here feels like being part of the neighborhood. I see the same parents at the market that I see at the school gate in the morning. We don’t use much marketing talk because everyone already knows who we are. We just focus on keeping the classrooms tidy and the schedule moving along. There’s a small area where the kids play, and we have to keep an eye on the equipment to make sure it’s safe. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when there’s a local festival or a big rainstorm. We just mop up the floors and keep going. We aren’t trying to be the biggest school around; we just want to be a reliable one. The staff is like a small family, and we’ve been working together for years. It’s just a plain, honest place to work and learn every day.
