Nagdhaniba is where we are, right near the Saneswar Mandir. You can hear the bells from the temple sometimes if the wind is blowing in the right direction. Our place isn’t anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just big work tables and a lot of colored thread. We do a lot of small-scale work here for different people. My brother and a few cousins help out most days of the week. We drink a lot of chai while we sit and finish the pieces by hand. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main markets, which is actually quite nice for us. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a minute or two. We’ve lived around here our whole lives, so everyone knows who we are. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon rain is really heavy, so we have to move all the boxes to the center of the room then. It's a bit of a hassle but we manage to keep everything dry. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around. We just want to get the work done right so people come back when they need something else later on. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a problem if someone brings a car. Most people just walk or come on a bike. It’s a simple life.
