Jay Shree Murlidhar Dhaba

We’ve been here at Plot No:1211 on the Talaja Road Highway for quite some time now. Being near Top 3 Circle means there is always a lot of noise from trucks and cars passing through Bhavnagar. It gets dusty sometimes, but that is just how it is when you are on the main road. The kitchen is usually busy from morning until late at night. We make the usual stuff you’d expect at a dhaba. People pull over because they are hungry and want something hot that isn't too expensive. It is not fancy here, just some tables and chairs and the smell of the stove going all day. Sometimes we run out of things if a big group comes in unexpectedly, but we try to keep enough dough ready for the rotis. The locals from around Bhavnagar know where we are, and the travelers just stop because they see the sign. It’s a simple life running a place like this. You see a lot of different faces every day. Some people are in a hurry to get to the next town, while others sit for an hour just to rest their legs. We don’t really do anything special, just keep the place running and make sure the food is ready when someone sits down. It gets really hot in the summer, especially near the tandoor, but we are used to it by now. That is pretty much our daily routine here at the dhaba.
