Amardeep Garden Restaurant

Mahuva is a quiet enough place most of the time, and our spot, Amardeep Garden Restaurant, is right at Ghanshyamnagar. Being at Plot No 109/110 gives us a bit of space, which is nice. We are right opposite the Swaminarayn Gurukul, so we see a lot of people coming and going from there. The garden part of the restaurant is what I like most. It takes a lot of work to keep the plants looking okay in the Bhavnagar heat, but it’s worth it. I spend a lot of my morning watering the patches and making sure the outdoor tables are clean. It’s a different vibe than the indoor places in the city. People come here when they want to sit outside for a bit. It’s not a fancy five-star setup, just some good space and some food. I grew up around here, so I know a lot of the families that come in on the weekends. Sometimes we have to deal with bugs or dust because of the open air, but that’s just part of having a garden restaurant in this area. We don't really do much advertising; people just know we are here across from the Gurukul. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we just take it one day at a time. The menu doesn't change much, but people seem to like that. It’s just how we do things in Mahuva. I guess that’s what happens when you stay in one spot for too many years.
