I work out of my place at 1349 Hig Flats in Modal Town. It is a residential area, so it is usually quite peaceful here, which helps when I need to concentrate on a complicated drawing. I have set up a corner of my flat as my main workspace. It is filled with my drafting table, some lamps, and a lot of pens that I keep losing. Modal Town is a good place to be based. I have lived here for a long time, so I know the layout of the buildings and the way the sun hits the streets. Most people come to me because they want to renovate their flats or build something nearby. I do not have a big staff, so I do all the work myself. From the initial sketch to the final technical drawings, it is all my handiwork. Sometimes I have to go out and meet clients at their locations, but usually, I am right here at the flat. My neighbors are used to seeing people coming and going with rolls of paper. It is a simple setup but it works for me. I do not believe in having a fancy office when I can do the same work right here. I spend a lot of time checking measurements and making sure everything fits perfectly. It is a lot of solo work, but I like the quiet. It gives me time to think about the designs.
