Nehdeep Kaur Matharu Architect

You can find me over on Power House Road, specifically at number 22168 on Street 12/2. It is a bit of a maze back here sometimes, but once you find the street, I am right there. I have been working as an architect in this area for a while. My office is basically where I spend all my daylight hours, and many nights too. There are always rolls of paper tucked into every corner and samples of tiles or wood lying on the floor. I like being on Power House Road because it feels like a real part of the city, not some isolated office park. People come in with sketches they made on napkins or just ideas in their heads. I try to turn those into something a builder can actually use. It involves a lot of measuring and double-checking the math. I do not have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone knocks, I am the one who gets up to open the door. Sometimes I am out at a site getting my shoes dusty, so the office might be locked for an hour or two. I just do my best to get the drawings done on time. It is a lot of technical stuff mixed with just trying to understand what someone needs for their family. It is a steady job and I enjoy the process of seeing a flat drawing become a real building in the neighborhood.
