Yahoo Cafe

Yahoo Cafe is tucked away in the Bhagyalakshmi Complex. We are behind the Janata Bazar in K R Puram, right off Sjp Road. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find us, it’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main road traffic. I started this place because I wanted to be my own boss, even if it means waking up way before the sun comes up to get things ready. The complex gets quite busy during the day, and we get a lot of people who are just tired from shopping at the bazar. I spend a lot of time wiping down the tables and making sure the kitchen is decent. The sink leaks a little bit, and I’ve put a bucket under it until the plumber shows up next week. It’s not a five-star establishment, just a place with some chairs and a menu that I wrote out by hand. K R Puram is always changing, with new shops opening up and others closing down, but we’ve managed to stay put for a bit. The noise from Sjp Road is always there in the background, like a hum you eventually stop noticing. Sometimes I run out of change and have to go ask the neighbors in the complex to swap some notes for me. It’s a small life, but it keeps me busy from morning until late at night.
