Woodstok

Our place is called Woodstok, and we are situated over at 43777 Hal 2Nd Stage in Viratnagar, specifically in the Basavappa Layout area. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but it’s a nice enough neighborhood. We’ve been here for some time now, working out of a space that we’ve slowly filled up with various things. We handle different types of wood-related work, mostly small-scale stuff. It’s not a huge factory with hundreds of workers. Instead, it’s just a few of us who know what we’re doing with our hands. The workshop can get pretty dusty and noisy when the machines are running, so we usually have the doors open to let some air in. I spend a lot of time measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. It’s the kind of work where you’re on your feet all day. We have some basic tools and a couple of bigger saws that we’ve had for years. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise, but we try to keep it to the daytime hours. We don't have a fancy showroom. If people want to see what we do, they just come by the workshop and look at what’s currently on the bench. It’s a practical, local business and we just take it one day at a time. The coffee machine in the corner is the most used piece of equipment we have.
