Vipra Cafe

You can find us at 117 in JP Nagar. We decided to open Vipra Cafe because this neighborhood needed a place where you can just sit for a minute. It’s not a very big cafe. We have a few small tables and the kitchen area is right behind the counter. You can usually hear the water boiling or the sound of the stove being lit. We make coffee and some snacks. We don't have a fancy espresso machine. It’s just regular coffee made the way we like it at home. Some people come in and stay for an hour reading the paper while others just grab something and leave. We get the milk delivered every morning. If the delivery guy is late we have to wait around a bit before we can start serving. The floor is made of grey stone and it stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We don't have any big slogans or goals. We just want to make sure the food tastes okay and that the coffee is hot. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles or torches until it comes back on. That’s just part of living here. We know most of the people who walk through the door. It feels more like a house than a business sometimes because it’s so small. We just keep doing our thing every day and hope people keep stopping by for their morning break.
